On today’s Thinking Thursday I remind you to be good to yourself. It sounds so simple, but day to day we give to everyone else and make sure that they are okay; our spouses, our children, our family and friends. Are you that type of person that is constantly giving it ALL to those around you but at the end of the day you ensure that those around you have everything that they want and need but you are left feeling empty in your own hopes, dreams and aspirations are constantly placed on the back burner?
Take a little bit of time each and every day to “be good to yourself”. Whether it is as simple as giving yourself a facial, getting a mani/pedi, having a bubble bath, treating yourself to a night away at a hotel, enjoying a quiet walk in the park, going on a mini shopping spree (if you can afford it of course), whatever it is that will make you happy and enjoy yourself. These are just simple suggestions, but you know what you need to do to get to your happy place. Believe me, when you return from whatever/wherever it may be to help you “be good to yourself”, you’ll feel energized, less stressed and be able to give of yourself without sacrificing your happiness.
As we are good to others, take time to be good to yourself.
